Camping & Mooring

There are reserved moorings for the Show on the main line of the Grand Union Canal for visitors who wish to come by boat. These moorings must be booked in advance and are available from Thursday 23 May to Monday 27 May inclusive. Boats are moored breasted up (except in Zone 3).

Access to the Show for 2024 is by the temporary footbridge over the canal. Mooring Zone distances are measured from this footbridge.

Please note that show tickets are not included in the price of mooring space and must be purchased separately. Moorings are available on a first come, first served basis.

Our Show Visitor Moorings are in three zones.

Zone 1

Concrete or piled bank with level towpath. Most boats in this zone are moored breasted up to the north and south of the temporary footbridge access to the show, which will be in place in 2024. Moorings in Zone 1 are up to 150m from the temporary bridge.

Zone 2

Zone 2 moorings are mainly piled or concrete and the towpath level. Most boats are moored two abreast. Zone 2 moorings are between 150m and 400m to the south of the temporary footbridge entrance to the Show. There are no zone 2 moorings to the north of the temporary footbridge.

Zone 3

These are the most picturesque and tranquil moorings. Located between 400m and 800m north of the temporary footbridge entrance to the Show, Zone 3 extends to Bridge 14. The canal bank here is eroded and the towpath uneven. We advise that this zone is suitable only for boaters who are relatively fit and are prepared to use a gang plank. Moorings here are not ideal for boaters with animals aboard. Boats should tie to the wooden posts provided, and not put stakes in the bank, which is home to many water voles.

Please note that Crick Boat Show visitor boats do not have access into Crick Marina and boaters are advised to fill up with water and empty toilet tanks, etc before mooring at the Show.

Crick Boat Show has its own camping field for caravans, motorhomes and tents. The site provides access to water, showers, toilets, sanitary and refuse disposal.

The campsite has a gentle gradient and is therefore not entirely flat. Please note, spaces are limited and availability is not guaranteed unless booked in advance. Bookings are on a first come, first served basis.

Please note that show tickets are not included in the price of camping space and must be purchased separately.
